ArPhy-1:   Aristotle, teacher of Alexander (the Great) notices one day that the awareness of the young prince is distracted and finds out the cause. Alexander loves Phyllis, the Queen’s beautiful lady in waiting. His reproach is futile and he reports to the king who has them separated.

ArPhy-169:   Phyllis wants revenge. One day she dresses very carefully and parades in front of the philosopher’s window. He falls in love with her immediately and agrees to being ridden as a horse if he is allowed to spend the night with her. He is given saddle and girdle and crawls on all fours with Phyllis on his back. The whole court watches this scene.
