BaHo-1:   The peasant Betz (Bärschi) is engaged to Metz, who wants to be his only when he promises to marry her. In the presence of their friends they engage officially and the dowry and the bridegrooms presents are stated.

BaHo-64:   The wedding is to take place in the evening; more guests appear. They eat grandly. At the wedding night Betz is so drunk that he falls asleep soon. After the morning mass they have a wedding meal where they transgress against all customs. The wedding presents are old clothes and similar precious things. Then they dance at the village square where a violent brawl starts at the end of the wedding feast.
