BetrBl-1:   A poor knight is forced to give his beautiful daughter to a rich blind man in marriage. In the wedding night the bridegroom realizes that, although it has been promised to him, the girl is not a virgin any more. When he makes angry remarks, she remonstrates him with his blindness for being a greater fault. He reprimands that his loss has come over him by his enemies and is not to be mocked. She says that her loss has come by friends which are even more above reproach. Epimythion: He who gives reason to reproach shall not reproach the faults of others.
