GSch-1:   A peasant who has slaughtered a pig and has put the bacon under the roof visible for all is persuaded by his companion that the lord of the village will think that he has become rich and then he would have to pay more tax. It is better to hide the bacon and tell everybody the bacon has been stolen during the night. The companion steals the bacon and when the peasant complains about his loss in the morning he praises him following his advice and thus plays the part of the victim perfectly. He should show it to the others as well. Epimythion: beware of cunning men.
