Heinrich Kaufringer, Der Zehnte von der Minne (ca. 1400)
Euling, K. (ed.): Heinrich Kaufringers Gedichte. (=StLV 182) Tübingen 1888. Vol. 12, p. 141–150

HKZM-1:   Promythion: The teasing of men is women’s daily bred. A minister is in love with a peasant woman who is hopelessly virtuous. But he takes advantage of her simplemindedness and accuses her of not having given him the tenth of her marital intimacies which is punished with hell.

HKZM-248:   In order to prevent the punishment the peasant’s wife pays her debt. When the peasant watches the minister coming from his place he wants to know the story; to take revenge for this shame he invites the minister to a meal and offers him wine from a small barrel which his wife had filled with her urine. The minister has to vomit and learns, horrified and in dismay, that he drank from the same grape from which he had taken the tenth. He pleads guilty and asks the peasant for mercy and as he apologizes he is pardoned.
