Freiherr von Lassberg, J. (ed.): Liedersaal: Sammlung altdeutscher Gedichte. 1820–1825. Reprint Hildesheim 1968. Vol 1, Nr. 73, p. 537–543

HdKK-1:   Promythion: He who laughs at others becomes the laughing stock himself. A beautiful princess wants to marry only a man who is able to defeat her in rhetoric. The defeated will lose his life. Konni, a peasant moron, wants to learn court manners and departs for court with an egg and a harrow tooth. On the road he meets a young squire who wants to woo the princess and takes him to court. At dinner Konni overeats, gets pains in his stomach during the night and shits in his cap. On the next day the squire is defeated by the princess and is beheaded. So Konni is brought to her.

HdKK-177:   He asks the first question why she has such red lips. She answers because there is fire inside. Konni pulls out his egg and asks her to cook the egg thus she is defeated the first time. She retorts that he should stick the egg up his ass. But he rebukes her that the hollow tooth is better fitting. Angrily she cries out: “That’s shit.” Now Konni unbinds his cap saying: That’s shit, I shit. Now the moron has defeated the princess three times and she has to marry him. Epimythion: He who mocks is mocked.
