A virgin listens to a monk’s sermon where he praises virginity. She promises to live as virgin unmarried. A week, later the preacher praises in his sermon the reward for good marriage; she comes to him and wants to be a wife. The clever monk tells her that if she thinks of herself as his wife, then she’ll be both celibate and married. In his next sermon he praises the state of the widow. His wife comes immediately to him and wants to be a widow. He declares her being a widow. After a short while she dies. She will earn the eternal crown in heaven.
