KvWHM-1:   Promythion: True love is unknown among the people of the present time. This story shall be an example. A knight loves another knight’s wife. When the husband notices it he decides to travel to the holy land to separate the lovers. The lady asks the knight to travel instead of her. He agrees with a heavy heart.

KvWHM-300:   Before the knight dies he instructs his page to have his heart embalmed and sent to his lady together with a precious ring. After the knight’s death the page fulfills the knight’s wish. But the other knight takes away the box and understands the meaning of the contents of the box. He has the cook prepare the heart and offers it to his wife. After the meal he reveals what she has eaten and in her desperation she swears that she would touch no other food and falls down dead. Epimythion: The decline of courtly love.
