StrEG-110:   When he agrees, she demands that he mustn’t remarry after her death. He swears it and has to pay as pledge 30 pound for his oath. The wife says she doesn’t know any better pledge as being separated right now and goes to the monastery to get used to life without a spouse. The husband finds it unbearable, makes up his mind and begs her to take back his oath. The wife has him plead a long time and then demands that she is allowed to take a lover while he is alive, if she wants. He has to accept her demand, but from this moment on he treats her so well that she never claims her right.
