He demands that the wife has to pass the same ordeal but she refuses with so many words. When he insists, she begs that due to the well known female weakness he has to forgive her one lover, then two and then three and offers money for it. The husband forgives her, but she has to carry the iron. She burns her hand and is thus exposed to her husband’s anger.
