Fischer, H.(ed.): Der Stricker. Verserzählungen 2 (=ATB 68). 2nd ed. Tübingen 1967. Nr. 16, p. 24–30

StrKo-1:   A rich king hates his poor but distinguished neighbor. He likes to take all the poor king’s possessions, but he does not have an excuse. After the rich king’s death his son takes over, he throws down the gauntlet to the poor king although his counselor advises against it.

StrKo-120:   As an excuse the rich king declares that he had a bad dream during the night because of him. The poor king promises to pay reparation and they settle for a meeting on an island in the river, which separates the countries. Every king is to come with twelve knights only and the armies stand on the banks on either side. The rich accuses the poor again and the poor proposes to give him reparation: the mirrored picture of his army as reparation for the dreamed harm. He declares that this reparation would be available any time whenever he suffers harm in a dream. The rich king retreats angrily. Epimythion: Who craves for honor without wisdom is harmed by his own fault.
